Overview

Honoring the men who defined soul.

Written and directed by Daryl D. Brooks — and originally staged under the title One Hundred WaysMen of Soul is a joyful celebration of the male artists who defined soul music. A ten-member ensemble, backed by a six-piece band, moves through the songbook with the energy and heart that have become the signature of a Brooks production.

A Joseph Jefferson Award nominee for Director – Revue in both 2015 and 2026, and a National Black Theater Festival selection, the show returned June 20 – August 2, 2026 for the theater's 50th anniversary celebration — the same season Brooks was named Artistic Director.
